Fit for Business is a pioneering new low-cost employee wellbeing scheme that is specifically designed to ensure staff really do commit to a healthier, happier and more dynamic lifestyle.
It is a uniquely practical programme that works from right inside participating organisations by supporting key individuals with the drive and enthusiasm for making sustainable and positive change.
Fit for Business is also a national recognition scheme. This means that throughout the year your organisation's progress is assessed and, if it meets a set of criteria, you will be invited to become a registered Fit for Business member. The programme criteria look for mandatory and optional actions to be undertaken in the following health promotion categories:
- Physical activity
- Healthy Eating
- Mental health and well-being
- Smoke free environments
- Drugs and alcohol
The flexibility of the programme allows each organisation to decide how they meet the criteria which means that organisations of all sizes and structures can take part.
Achieving recognition status demonstrates commitment to the crucial area of Corporate Social Responsibility through the use of the programme's logo on literature and marketing materials.
