What's in it for you?

Businesses are signing up to Fit For Business for many reasons:

  • To reduce the cost of workplace absence and increase productivity
  • To improve communications and integration between workplace teams
  • To show the organisation's commitment to staffs health and well being
  • To demonstrate to the outside world that they are real about corporate social responsibility
  • For the PR opportunities it provides
  • Or simply to have some fun!
The scheme provides you with a pathway to a healthier workplace through a range of comprehensive support services including:
  • Training
  • Email and telephone support for 'Workplace Champions'
  • Regular members only newsletters packed full with inspirational ideas to coincide with national, regional and local initiatives
  • BHF Think fit resources
  • On-site support
  • Yearly validation of recognition portfolio
The support offered is there to make the role of "Workplace Champion" less time consuming. As a member you will benefit from the practical experiences of Creating Excellence and other organisations sharing common workplace health ambitions. The Fit For Business team will help develop your own ideas to meet your own aims and objectives.

Support options:
  • In early phases the full support package will help get your project underway;
  • As you gain in confidence as an organisation perhaps you may need additional training for new workplace champions to extend the reach of your project
  • Once your project is well established you may require the services of external suppliers - the Fit For Business team can help you source appropriate providers through our workplace health network
  • And ultimately, when you have become self sufficient, perhaps your organisation may just be looking for the recognition award.
